DIY Makeup Brush Cleaner

I know that cleaning your brushes is a pain and no one really wants to take the time to do it....but it's worth it.

I use Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush by Urban Decay (I highly recommend using this brush for your liquid foundation...it gives such a flawless finish and it is extremely soft and high quality...I've never had any bristles come off) more than any of my other brushes...so it needs to be cleaned more. Cleaning your brushes is not only sanitary but also it truly improves your makeup application! & let's get real...when you walk into a makeup store...spending money on a makeup brush cleaner is the last thing on your mind! Cleansers can range from $10-$40....so why not use two things that the average person already has in their home?

What you'll need:
1) 5.5 Tablespoons of Olive oil
2) 2 Tablespoons of Antibacterial Dish Soap

Pour ingredients on a plate or in a bowl. Mix together.

Dip your brush into the mixture.

Make sure you have a good amount on your brush.

Rub your brush in a circular motion in the palm of your hand. The makeup will start coming off.

Continue to rub your brush in circular motion in the palm of your hand while
running WARM water until you feel as if your brush if fully clean. It shouldn't take long.

I recommend letting your brush/brushes sit out overnight to be able to dry fully.

Keep being the fabulous YOU and try to clean your brushes every now and then ;)

XO,
Lauren
